A great spot to witness the Atlantic ocean and hear the waves crashing against the coast.

The Butt of Lewis Lighthouse is one of the most visited attractions on the whole of the Isle of Lewis, with 70,000 visits a year.

In the village of Ballantrushal and standing tall at 5.8 metres is the Clach an Truiseil standing stone. Clach an Truiseil is one of the tallest standing stones in Scotland.

Local Nature Reserve
Loch Stiapabhat Local Nature Reserve is a fantastic spot to view the extraordinary wildlife of the area. The Nature Reserve is jointly managed by the RSPB and Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn.

The furthest north beach on the Estate is also one of our favourite hidden gems with a rich history.

Port Nis is at the northerly end of the A857 road. Here you will find a small interesting harbour with the entrance through a rocky cliff face and rocky islet.

This medieval church is found in Eoropie, and is the best preserved of several small ruined chapels found in Ness.

The archaeological site of Steinacleit overlooks Loch an Dùin, which has an Iron Age man-made island in the middle, joined to the shore by a stone-built causeway.

This is one of the biggest and most beautiful beaches on the Estate and is a very popular beach for surfers.
